SPAM BLOG and HOW NOT TO BE LOCKED?

IF we could make the Spider Robot crawl our blogsites and not make false readings on our blogsites , it would be HAPPY DAYS for the bloggers. It would mean that our blogs will prosper and reach an infinite success. But that is not the virtual world and reality , there are rules that has to be followed for our blogsite site to thrive , sustain, rank and also make money. But there are also bloggers who goes around the rules and try to outwit the “robot”. Or there are foolish people around who makes fun of fellowmen and loves others to be down.

Since my blogsite was LOCKED , I became conscious to study about this spamming and how to prevent it being blocked. A blogsite to be suspected of a spam blog could be a handy work of fellow blogger . With a simple click of the mouse and a report of your blog, your doom though it still has to be proven. It ' s really more on the “Robot”, detecting blogsite, if it has crawled and with the algorithms not suited with the spider robot then it would suspect the blog to be a “corruptor” .

And , probably this was the basis of the Admin's stopping my blog activity. This is also how I interpret what had happened. Reality has proven otherwise , I am back and it was indirectly declared that my blogsite as not a “spam blog”. The admin admitted that sometimes spam detection is very “fuzzy” or very intricate and the classification of being a spam could be wrong, that is why I was a victim.

To better understand all about spam , spam blog and policies , we had to bear in mind the following ;

SPAMMING is not allowed in GOOGLE as a basic policy that's a fact .

What Are Spam Blogs?
As with many powerful tools, blogging services can be both used and abused. The ease of creating and updating webpages with Blogger has made it particularly prone to a form of behavior known as link spamming. Blogs engaged in this behavior are called spam blogs, and can be recognized by their irrelevant, repetitive, or nonsensical text, along with a large number of links, usually all pointing to a single site.

Spam blogs cause various problems, beyond simply wasting a few seconds of your time when you happen to come across one. They can clog up search engines, making it difficult to find real content on the subjects that interest you. They may scrape content from other sites on the web, using other people's writing to make it look as though they have useful information of their own. And if an automated system is creating spam posts at an extremely high rate, it can impact the speed and quality of the service for other, legitimate users.

Link spam
Davison defines link spam (which he calls "nepotistic links") as "... links between pages that are present for reasons other than merit." [6] Link spam takes advantage of link-based ranking algorithms, such as Google's PageRank algorithm, which gives a higher ranking to a website the more other highly ranked websites link to it. These techniques also aim at influencing other link-based ranking techniques such as the HITS algorithm.

Link farms
Involves creating tightly-knit communities of pages referencing each other, also known humorously as mutual admiration societies [2]PDF (1.55 MiB) Hidden links Putting links where visitors will not see them in order to increase link popularity. Highlighted link text can help rank a webpage higher for matching that phrase.

"Sybil attack"
This is the forging of multiple identities for malicious intent, named after the famous multiple personality disorder patient "Sybil" (Shirley Ardell Mason). A spammer may create multiple web sites at different domain names that all link to each other, such as fake blogs known as spam blogs.

Spam blogs
Also known as splogs, a spam blog, is complete fake blog created exclusively with the intent of spamming. They are similar in nature to link farms.

Page hijacking
This is achieved by creating a rogue copy of a popular website which shows contents similar to the original to a web crawler, but redirects web surfers to unrelated or malicious websites.
Buying expired domains

Some link spammers monitor DNS records for domains that will expire soon, then buy them when they expire and replace the pages with links to their pages. See Domaining. However Google resets the link data on expired domains.

Some of these techniques may be applied for creating a Google bomb, this is, to cooperate with other users to boost the ranking of a particular page for a particular query

It is very clear from the above information that SPLOGS OR SPAM BLOG is a complete fake blog created by a human being and presented as a robot or any means for malicious intent of developing or trying to reach a high percentage of visitors for the blogs and or ranking. This we I call it “ corrupting the blog” for the primary reason of more income .

Spamming or other forms of being a SPAM BLOG is linking or link spamming , the linking is done just for the purpose of blogs popularity and not linking with other blogs for cause of developing content or sharing the blogs content.

Other articles and readers is highly needed by blogsites . We need readers , fellow bloggers and other sites to link with us and linking is the lifeblood of the blog . But there are now a lot of methods in going about this linking aspect which is badly needed by our blog. But I think we have to be very careful with our linking. Google in particular are guarding the blogs and they had the means to take out this spam blogs from their system and from the web world. The latest that there doing are ;

Automated spam classifying algorithms keep spam blogs out of NextBlog and out of our "Recently Published" list on the dashboard. The same classifiers are used to require an extra word verification field on the posting form for potential spam blogs. This makes it harder for spammers to set up automated systems to do their posting, since a human needs to complete this step.

The Flag as Objectionable button in the Navbar lets you notify us of problem blogs that you find, so we can review them and take appropriate action. Report spam here.

I do hope you won't suffer what I had experience . If ever you had the same situation please do comment on this blog and let us know your experience. So be very careful with your blogs , be conscious of who your linking and hope for your great success with your blog and enjoy blogging.
