What is Christmas 2009?

Everybody has different meaning for this Christmas 2009 , i want to share mine;

It is four years now since i had been away from my own family and there’s always that feeling of emptiness and sadness because I am not celebrating this holiday with your family. Though with the present technology , you could still say Merry Christmas to them with telephone , cell phone , internet and mails. And never forget to sent the Christmas Gifts ,for me i just send money .

I remember that preparations for Christmas starts at the end of November , that is decorating the house , cleaning, putting Christmas Trees, Christmas lights and plans for the noche buena and gifts.

Christmas feels the air , when you hear christmas songs on the radio, TV and of course the “carollers” , I remember when i was a child , we also do caroling and before the day of Christmas , we shared the earnings with the group and put it on the “Alkansiya” or piggy bank.

caroling

How i missed the “simbang gabi “ going to mass at early hours of the morning then eating putong bumbong and bibingka, or lugaw on the streets near the church.

simbang gabi

Yes ! the noche buena a gathering of the family for a meal before midnight of the day of Christmas .. I missed the :inangit my mother usually prepares for noche buena , chocolates , fruits , the whole gathering . The giving of gifts for each other within the family.

noche buena

I also missed the “inaanaks or god sons and daughters going to the house , greeting merry christmas and of course ..they need the gift and usually i give them cash. Now a days , my wife told me that its not only the god sons and daughters that’s asking for gift.. They are now with the sisters, their brothers , friends , neighbors almost one barangay …Oh my God !!

Celebration for Christmas here in Canada is really different . For the Filipinos , there is still that culture of preparing the house decorations , putting of Christmas Trees and lights , going to church, the noche buena and giving of gifts or exhange gifts in a party. I do like celebrating CHRISTMAS in the Philippines.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU , HOPE YOU HAVE THE BLESSINGS ON THIS DAY AND THE COMING NEW YEAR !!!!!

What is Christmas 2009 for you ?

2010 Election in the Philippines Most Awaited

Election 2010 in the Philippines is what the majority of the Filipino peoples most awaited part of a countrys history. They are already tired and fed up of the present administrations cover ups on so many ill gotten wealth issues, the latest is about Cong. Mikey Arroyo (son of President Gloria Arroyo) undeclared and suspiciously increased wealth in so short span of a few years.

In March 2009 , i started an event blog in bloggersunite.com , the event was called “2010 Philippine Election ,New Hope “. The main mission of this event blog was to come up with members on all Filipinos to utilize the blog event to put comments , blogs and any means utilizing the web or internet to unite all filipinos whether in the country or outside of the Philippines for the cause of pushing the election. It is not campaigning for any candidate , its only a cause of pushing a real , genuine election for the Philippines on May 10 , 2010.

I called it “New Hope “ since it is being rumored that there wont be election or should there be an election it would be an “election” in line with the “Constitutional Change” which was a approved railroaded by administration congressman.

Now its September , six months after i had organized this event and it looks like there would really be an election , the Administration had already chosen Gilberto Duavit as an administration candidate for the Presidency and for the Opposition , Sen. Noynoy Aquino would be the “ NEW HOPE” for a new Presidency for the Filipino People. Events after death of former President Cory Aquino and her burial showed the love of the Filipino people for “Cory” and these had been the reason why “Noynoy” for President was read by politicians.

It is still eight months before the election , lots of things will still happen . We dont know what is the plan for the election of the administration. So we still have a lot of works to do , bloggersunite.com is one move that we are doing so bloggers let us unite , join our group and push for a genuine election here is our web address ; http://linkbee.com/C87KH.

Will Pres. Arroyo Be Afraid ?

President Corazon Aquino became a symbol of “democracy” since the birth of People Power. As a loving , faithful and responsible wife she became a hero of our country the Philippines. She could not be forgotten in the history of the Filipino People . She stood up against the dictatorship of deposed President Marcos and from then on , what she had done became a symbol and a lesson.

Before her death she was fighting for the “truth” to come out from the present government’s officials from the TOP being blamed for too much corruption, insensitivity to the people’s needs and manipulators for their own ends which means the CHA CHA in Congress. She stood up and declared her call for President Arroyo to resign.

President Cory’s death had shaken the filipino people’s sentiment once again and the People’s Power spirit was live again. Thousands of people came out from the street to see her being transferred from Greenhills to Manila Cathedral.

This part history in the making is happening on the death of President Cory is a show of force for the rulers of the country that will probably awaken them and make second thoughts of what ever sinister plans they are cooking in the coming election 10 months from now. The massive outpour of people’s sympathy and condolence to “Cory’s Death” is a sign that the people loves “President Cory”, the principles she stand for , the humility, the braveness for the fighting the TRUTH and her wisdom for the greatest Filipino. The Call now is not only “Thank You President Cory” but “ We Will Follow You and Fight for the Truth Which You Had Been Fighting Against the Present Government.

More show of people’s support for the “ICON OF DEMOCRACY

Will Pres. Arroyo Be Afraid ? will the Filipino People respond and fight for what Cory stand for, TULOY ANG LABAN!!

Enjoin me to pray for the Filipinos

A blogger Friend had contact me to join his campaign of prayer for the Filipinos especially for the people in the Philippines. The continuos problems of poverty  , corruption, greed and apathy of people in power has made the country to be named one of the corrupt country in Asia.  What is in store for the future is undetermined so with prayers we will ask the almighty’s intervention to cleanse the minds of politicians of greediness and the to give more strenght for the Filipinos to endure the hardships in our country.

Praying-Hands copy This is a prayer tag and link for the Philippines and the Filipinos. You are enjoined to utter this prayer for nine (9) consecutive days and to tag as many bloggers as you can with preference for Filipinos. But only bona fide Filipinos shall be included in the official registry of Filipino bloggers in this blog. Each time a new blogger makes a link, be sure to send me an email of the entire link through melalarilla@gmail.com so that the official list will be consolidated in a master list in this blog. For our Muslim brothers, you may make your own special prayer formula but you must never deviate from the formula of this entire post.

Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, we consecrate to you our beloved country- the Philippines and all the Filipinos around the world. We acknowledge Father that apart from You, we can do nothing and it is only your divine providence and grace that can unite all Filipinos as one nation. We therefore humble ourselves before your throne. We confess all our sins to you individually and collectively as a nation. Forgive us our sins Father and wash us clean by the precious blood of Your beloved Son- Jesus Christ. Mend our wicked ways and let us experience a strong and genuine spiritual revival for ourselves and for our country. Let the Holy Spirit imbibe us with power, love and wisdom to return to Your path of holiness and righteousness. Bless our country, heavenly father. Bless all Filipinos wherever they maybe. Let progress, unity, harmony, stability, justice, peace and prosperity reign in our country.

Bless our leaders, from the President down to the lowest Barangay official. Touch their hearts that they may serve our country with all honesty and with love and integrity. Bless our children and our future generation. And bless us all Father in all aspects of our lives. This we pray to You heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

World Awaits Fight East Meets West

The Fight in May between Manny (Pacman) and Hatton (the Hitman) is now being waited around the world, this will be a SUPER FIGHT.

Both Fighters are well trained and ready as  shown from their Promotional Tour here watch;

HERE IS WHAT SOME PERSONALITIES SAY ABOUT  THE FIGHT;

Hollywood celebrity Mark Wahlberg believes Ricky Hatton is in for a tough match when he battles Filipino prized fighter Manny Pacquiao on May 2 (May 3 in Manila).
“You saw what (Pacquiao) did to (Oscar) De La Hoya, he’s going to do the same to (Ricky) Hatton," Wahlberg said in a video interview posted at Los Angeles Times.com.
Wahlberg credits Freddie Roach, Pacquiao’s trainer and coach, as the one who helped turn the Filipino boxing icon into the fighter that he is today.
“Freddie is the best and Manny realizes that. Manny listens to Freddie and does exactly what Freddie tells him to do," said Wahlberg, who is a close friend of Roach.
Wahlberg said that fights like this, Paquiao-Hatton, is great for boxing. “It’s pretty big. It’s great for the sport. Boxing is in a bit of trouble but fights like this obviously help the sport."
Wahlberg joined fellow actor Mickey Rourke and hundreds of fight fans in a Hollywood-inspired red carpet promotional event for the Pacquiao-Hatton May 2 fight last Monday at the Roosevelt Hotel.
Wahlberg said he would be at ring side to witness the Pacquiao-Hatton May 2 bout at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The hype being drummed up prior to the fight shows that the Pacquiao-Hatton bout won’t last for 12 rounds since both boxers are known sluggers. Hatton usually attacks and bullies his opponents while Pacquiao is best known for unleashing a barrage of precise blows.

Floyd Mayweather Sr. thinks it’s game over for the Pacman, Manny Pacquiao, on May 2 when he meets his ward, Ricky “Hitman" Hatton at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Reinforcing his earlier claim that Hatton would “whip Pacquiao’s ass," the outspoken trainer boldly proclaimed anew that the end is coming for the reigning pound for pound king from the Philippines.
“Hey Pacman, it’s over!," Mayweather Sr. declared in a video of the glitzy L.A. press conference for the Pacquiao-Hatton megafight posted at teampilipinas.info. “Come May 2nd we’re taking your crown away."
In his usual rapping tirade, Mayweather Sr. boasted that his hard-punching ward would stop the four-division champion. “Pacman hit the floor, you better stay down if you want to stay around."
He said the game plan would be to bring the Filipino star to the ropes and hit him with body shots, noting that Pacquiao has been stopped twice before by body shots.
Mayweather laughed off the prediction of Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach that it would be the fighter from Manchester who would go down within three rounds.
“You know what? That’s why I call Freddie the Joke Coach Roach. He didn’t know smoke from the juice really," he said in reaction to Roach’s forecast.
Asked why Hatton would prevail, Mayweather said: “Hatton is the best man and I’m the best trainer."
Mayweather has been training Hatton for a good two months already and believes the 30-year-old fighter now has the tools necessary to bring down the P4P king.
“For sure he (Hatton) is good, definitely good enough to beat the Pacman," he said.

So what does Freddie Roach saw in his own crystal ball? A third round knock out victory for Manny Pacquiao.
Roach, who added predicting how his prized ward’s fights would end to his resume, said Pacquiao’s May 2 (May 3 in Manila) fight against Ricky Hatton would end early when asked by reporters during “The Battle of East vs. West" promotional tour in Hollywood.
“I told Manny that if he doesn’t knock (Hatton) out in three rounds I’ll be disappointed. (Manny’s) training hard always and watching the tapes and dissecting Hatton’s style," said Roach, who correctly predicted Pacquiao’s last two wins.
Roach boldly predicted Pacquiao would beat David Diaz in the ninth round by way of knockout. His ward did not let disappoint his trainer and on June 28, 2008 Diaz went down by KO in the ninth.
He also predicted that Oscar De La Hoya would lose by a ninth round KO against Pacquiao. Prior to the fight, Roach said that De La Hoya could no longer pull the trigger and reiterated that De La Hoya’s height and size advantage against Pacquiao would not be a factor.
Roach’s predictions came true. Although the Filipino boxing superstar won by KO, he missed one round since the match ended after eight rounds with the “Golden Boy" deciding not to continue with the fight failing to catch up with a speedy and elusive Pacquiao.
Roach, in an interview with FightType.com, said Pacquiao knows the game plan to the letter. “We had some really good sparring partners and Manny’s doing well We have the game plan down. Manny knows how to fight this guy."
He added that Hatton would have a hard time using his left hook. “You know what Ricky Hatton does best he throws punches kind of holds you, ties you up and then sinks that left hook into the body, his best punch. We’re not going to be there. He’s not even going to be able to find us. We’re just way too fast for him."
This will be Pacquiao’s first match against a British boxer after testing the caliber of Mexican sluggers in his previous fights. Pacquiao’s last nine wins were against Mexican boxers.
“We’ve been training hard. I’ve been getting the same intensity that I had during my previous fights," Pacquiao said in Filipino.

What can you say about the FIGHT ? For us  Pinoy’s Of course its Manny Pacquiao Rules
